ALUCORE®

Aluminium sandwich panel with high flexural strength and extremely low weight

In contrast to conventional honeycomb composite panels, a continuous viscoelastic bonding process joins the ALUCORE® system components. This is the basis of the high product quality: the material is not brittle-hard, but viscoelastic and is characterised by unique peel strength values. Planners, architects and designers appreciate ALUCORE® because it combines high mechanical properties, such as the tensile strength of the cover sheets, with outstanding processing and aesthetics.

The continuous manufacturing process allows the production of large size panels up to 9 m long, with superior flatness. Impeccably neat detais in a wide variety of applications, can be simply achieved using standard equipment. Thanks to its special properties, ALUCORE® is not only ideal for exterior applications such as façade cladding, roof coverings, balconies, roofing, etc., but also for interior applications such as ceiling panelling or for industrial applications.

In addition to being lightweight and extremely flat, ALUCORE® also stands out thanks to its high weather resistance. With regard to surface treatments, only high-quality lacquering systems are used to ensure optimum weather resistance and resistance to industrial pollution .

The standard core consists of aluminium foil made from the alloy AlMn (EN AW 3003). Cell size b: 9.5 mm.

The cover sheets of the ALUCORE® panels are made of corrosion-resistant Peraluman alloys (AlMg1/5005A) and can be varied according to the intended use - decorative or structural.

ALUCORE® is characterised by the following properties:

Wide Variety of colours and outstanding flatness

Very lightweight material with extremely high flexural rigidity

Planning and design scope thanks to excellent formability

Vibration-reducing, meaning no additional anti-drumming coating needed

Easy processing with conventional tools, e.g. for folding and bending

Problem-free handling and quick installation on site, even with large formats

Low cost for substructures and fasteners

Short installation time, adherence to schedules, low cost

Excellent weather resistance and long-term properties

It is the combination of formability, flatness, stability and weather resistance which characterizes this material. Due to its composite structure, ALUCORE® can take on many different shapes, wrapping itself around the building structure like a second skin. The good formability is in no way detrimental to its stability and flatness. This is ensured by the panels' high flexural rigidity .

Lightweight / dimensional stability

The composite structure of ALUCORE® results in an impressive ratio of weight to flexural rigidity, even with large dimension panels . ALUCORE® panels are easy to handle during processing and Installation as they are lightweight, but they still prove their strength: thanks to their outstanding flexural rigidity, the panels retain their dimensional stability and flatness even when exposed to extreme weather conditions.

Sustainability

Consistent and sustainable protection of our environment is a particularly high priority at 3A Composites. The company's aim is to preserve natural resources so as to guarantee a future worth living for the generations to come. Therefore, the company is committed to continuously introducing its own improvements in environmental protection - far beyond the applicable regulations - because 3A Composites also strives to play a leading role in this area.

Recycling

ALUCORE® can be recycled together with other aluminium without prior separation and sorting. (scrap value).
